WHO WE ARE
Formerly known as Borno Youth for Positive Action Initiative, BOYPAI/PAI; It was established
in 2014 and registered with the Borno State Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Youth
Empowerment with Registration Number 32154. To receive national recognition and meet up
with most donor requirements, FOHAEV was the new name acquired after submitting a formal
registration at the national level with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2023 as the name
Positive Action Initiative (PAI) was rejected. FOHAEV is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-
religious organization striving to provide life-saving services and relief to people affected by
conflict, natural disasters, or people facing economic instability due to other factors. Our
office is based in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.
FOHAEV members are women and youths within Nigeria from various socio-cultural
backgrounds, profession, and intellect with the sole aim of ensuring social stability and
providing relief to marginalized and most vulnerable groups through its interventions which
includes Health (Sexual and Reproductive Health) and Nutrition, Education, Peacebuilding,
Climate Change and Environmental Protection, Animal Protection and Veterinary Services,
Child Protection, Food Security & Livelihoods, WaSH & Shelter among others.
